This may be another example to support all the people that have posted through the years that giving a level 80 boost to someone that has not yet gotten to 80 by actually leveling up has a strong tendency to disenchant them with the game, whereas those that take their time to explore on the way up appreciate things far more. I recently purchased the first two expansions, which gave me a level 80 booster. Although I initially decided not to use it, I just found out that it also provides level 80 gear that would be beneficial for my character. According to the GW2 efficiency website, the booster is valuable, worth 343 gold. Since it cannot be sold, what would be theim looking at this lvl 80 ticket for 2k gems which is only worth $35. For one character boost on wow i can level up boost only one toon for the price of two on gw2. So is this just guild wars devs being generous compared to wow devs or is this a statement saying that even the devs think that the 1-80 grind is just pointless lmao. In fact, pre level 80 content is for the most part sigificantly different from post level 80 content. Just the addition of elite specs alone can completely change the way you play a class. Coming from another game, you might think getting to 80 is a big plus, but even just running normally I can get to 80 in a day. I am relatively new to the game, and did get a level 80 boost ticket. With that ticket, I got a brand new level 80 character wearing celestial exotic armor. The guild I joined explained that this gear allowed me the opportunity to play my profession however I wanted, while working towards replacing armor and weapons to find a niche. WqY6o.
