The Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L II USM Lens and its big brother the EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM Lens make the best two lens combo on the planet. If these don't do it for you there is nothing better. Again including brand-N. Even so it keeps a comfortable distance towards its professional grade counterpart - the Canon EF 24-105mm f/4 USM L IS which is a somewhat dated lens by now. The comparatively big EF 24-105mm f/3.5-5.6 STM IS has a pretty good build quality - not quite L class but not quite on the usual kit lens level either.
